rXperius has received computing credits and technical expertise from Amazon Web Services for its new Disease X Journey (DXJ) app, part of an ever-growing community of more than 10,000 patients using the rXperius’ patient engagement platforms (DXJ, MedXer, and ClinTrialsXer) to give real-time feedback on their chronic-disease and healthcare experiences.
Raleigh, North Carolina – February 15, 2024 – rXperius today announced that it has been selected as part of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Health Equity Initiative, a $40 million, three-year commitment, supporting organizations that are developing solutions to advance health equity.
Through the initiative, AWS offers AWS credits and customized technical expertise to selected organizations around the world that want to use AWS services to improve health outcomes and health equity in any of the following areas: 1) increasing access to health services for underserved communities; 2) addressing social determinants of health; 3) leveraging data to promote more equitable and inclusive systems of care; and 4) advancing equity in diagnostics and screening.
The support from AWS will advance rXperius’ efforts to grow a community of patients leveraging the Disease X Journey (MyDXJ.com) platform with its new DXJ app to provide feedback on their disease and healthcare experience.
The new DXJ app gives patients an opportunity to advocate for their own health, sharing anonymous feedback that, collectively, can change the future of U.S. healthcare. “Making their voice heard by sharing personal experiences related to their own chronic-disease care journey, MyDXJ community members provide invaluable, relevant commentary that helps healthcare professionals committed to making a difference,” said Steven A. Castillo, Founder and CEO, rXperius. The DXJ app, available from any app store, allows patients to get paid for providing comments about their disease journey over time.
“AWS believes individual health outcomes should not depend on socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, or neighborhood, “said Maggie Carter, Global Lead, Social Impact at AWS. “Cloud technology can help address inequities in global health to expand access to the services people need to live longer, healthier lives–no matter who they are or where they live. Through the AWS Health Equity Initiative, we look forward to helping rXperius and other organizations worldwide use the power of cloud computing to advance health equity and improve health outcomes.”
